Live Work. Real Connection.
I perform across genres — as a storyteller, theatre artist, and comic — always led by my love for language, rhythm, and connection.
From a solo act based on Bhakti poetry to a folktale spun with humour and music, from personal stand-up stories to ensemble plays, I create performance experiences that move across form — but always centre the story.

Storytelling
Storytelling
As a performing storyteller, I specialize in reinterpreting myths, folktales, and oral traditions from across India. My shows often combine narrative, live music, and movement to create immersive, culturally rich experiences. I’ve curated and directed storytelling productions in collaboration with classical and folk musicians, dancers, and puppeteers—many of which have been specially commissioned for institutions, festivals, and cultural initiatives.

Signature storytelling shows:
Discovery of India with Folktales
Gaane Kisse Mashure Deewano Ke: Legendary Folk Love Stories
Ponytails, Pigtails, and Folktales

Commissioned / Special Performances
These are uniquely conceptualised pieces I created in response to specific briefs—where I was invited to design original storytelling performances:
Mythical Melodies (Serendipity Arts Festival): A multi-layered act conceptualised and directed by me, featuring three classical instrumentalists alongside storytelling, complete with light and stage design.
Folktales of Maharashtra (Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum): Based on a rare colonial-era manuscript, created for the museum’s 150th anniversary celebration.
My Music, My Rights (IPRS): A performance specially created to support the initiative, featuring curated stories of folk and historical musicians, presented with live music.
Folktales of Odisha (RUSA’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program): A region-specific storytelling piece developed for a government educational initiative.
Two Journeys (United Way Mumbai & HSBC): A story-based performance for children affected by the pandemic, designed around healing and resilience.
Walkthrough Stories for The Crafting Wonders Exhibition (CSMVS): A site-specific narrative piece built to complement the museum’s exhibition.
Maitreyi, Malala and Other Stories I Tell Myself (Harvard in Asia Program): A performance bridging personal reflection and global girlhood stories.
Her Myths (CoHab International Conference): A curated piece linking mythic and modern female figures, created for an international academic audience.
Theatre
Theatre

My theatre journey spans a wide range of styles—from children’s plays to documentary theatre, thrillers to musicals. At the heart of my stage work is storytelling that’s raw, emotional, and layered.
My standout production is the one-woman show Cast Off All Shame, which blends Bhakti poetry with the stories of contemporary women. In this 80-minute performance, I slip into multiple characters—bridging devotional verse and modern life with punchy lines, humour, and deeply felt emotion. Audiences are taken on a ride of tears and laughter, ancient wisdom and biting social commentary.
Hailed by Mumbai Mirror as a “must-watch,” the show has had over 75 performances across India, in venues ranging from art galleries and literary festivals to universities and corporate spaces.

Comedy
Comedy
My comedy draws from personal narratives, social commentary, and a touch of philosophical musing—rooted in everyday life, laced with nostalgia, and coloured by folk storytelling traditions.
Whether I’m reflecting on gender dynamics, middle-class quirks, or the quiet chaos of motherhood, my aim is to spark laughter through stories that feel familiar, layered, and real.

Notable shows:
Aurat Samaj Rakha Hai Kya? – on navigating womanhood in a “well-meaning” society
Stick Around, I May Need Someone to Blame – an anecdotal, semi-philosophical deep dive into self-sabotage, family trips, and inner chaos
Naamkaran – a comic exploration of names, identity, and the drama they carry
